Meet the Chef

OWNER & HEAD CHEF KATIE WEINNER  received her culinary diploma from the Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver.  Chef Katie worked at Plumpjack Café in Squaw Valley, Tahoe’s premier dining destination.  She acted as the Head Development Chef for the Mist Project, a one-month pop up restaurant which inspired her creation of SLC POP in April 2012.  SLC POP is a pop-up restaurant and catering business. Katie then turned the pop-up into Nata Gallery, a temporary brick-and-motar eatery. Nata Gallery kicked off in November 2012 and wrapped up in the Spring of 2014. The game changer was an invitation on Top Chef Season twelve in Boston.  Katie competed for eight weeks on Top Chef and believes her life will never be the same!
